Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Durango, CO is hiring a Pilates Instructor to support members in achieving healthier lives by building relationships and delivering education-focused sessions.

You will develop safe Pilates programs, teach private and group classes, monitor technique on Pilates equipment, and promote related training services while maintaining studio cleanliness and staying current with certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in Pilates program design.
• 1 year of personal training experience.
• 6 months of experience adjusting body alignment on Pilates equipment.
• Certified Pilates Trainer and CPR/AED certified.

Responsibilities

• Develops safe, comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention
• Instructs both private and group Pilates classes
• Monitors and instructs clients during Pilates training sessions on the safe and effective use the equipment
• Conducts fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening and goal setting to assess and recommend Pilates training programs
• Promotes and sells Pilates training programs and classes, Group Fitness classes and Personal Training to members
• Completes all administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness plan
• Maintains the cleanliness of the Pilates studio
• Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry
• Educates members on current health and fitness issues and trends

Position Summary

Pilates Instructors are responsible for supporting all members in championing happier, and healthier lives by building and nurturing relationships. They provide a positive member experience that is educational, supporting, and upholds the integrity of the Life Time Brand.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention


• Instructs both private and group Pilates classes


• Monitors and instructs clients during Pilates training sessions on the safe and effective use the equipment

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Experience in Pilates program design


• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:

• 1 year of personal training experience


• 6 months of experience in adjusting body alignment, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrel equipment

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• Certified Pilates Trainer


• CPR and AED Certified

Preferred Qualifications:

• College degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine or other related field
