Job summary

Chemours in DeLisle, MS is hiring a Packing Technician to operate and maintain equipment for packaging dry pigment and related processes. You will follow safety procedures, monitor conveyors, perform basic maintenance, and ensure cleanliness and readiness for customer visits.

Responsibilities include operating a range of packaging and conveying equipment, completing rounds, and adhering to environmental and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and overtime as required.
• Ability to wear PPE
• Basic computer skills
• Possess a mechanical aptitude and able to demonstrate troubleshooting and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools, feed screws, conveyors, printers, palletizers, presses, stretch wrap machines, pallet lifts, hoists, forklift trucks, and other equipment.
• Perform lock, tag, and try to de-energize equipment.
• Troubleshoots and performs basic maintenance to resolve issues and restore process operation using mechanical knowledge and manufacturer literature.
• Conducts preventative maintenance and submits work notifications for future needs.
• Completes operator rounds multiple times per shift and maintains housekeeping.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and climb multiple flights of stairs per shift.
• Change out filter bags.
