Job summary

Mission Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). You will lead professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of pediatric patients, applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care and teaching for patients and families.

You will oversee patient care delivery, collaborate with the care team, and provide education to patients, families and staff to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification within 30 days of start date
• PALS certification within 90 days of start date
• Registered Nurse license (RN)
• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in nursing
• 1 year of nursing experience required

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of patient care for a group of patients based on acuity and staff availability
• Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care
• Collaborate with patients, families and interdisciplinary team to achieve outcomes
• Educate patients, families and staff as needed
