Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Registered Nurse for our Pediatric Care Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care units. You will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients from birth to 18 years and support families with education and emotional encouragement.

You will deliver life-saving care in PICU, coordinate with physicians, and educate families on treatment plans and home care.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with an active license.
Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
ACLS, BCLS, ENCP, and PALS certifications required within specified timelines.
Previous PICU or ICU experience strongly preferred.
One or more years of RN experience with pediatric population.

Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based, family-centered care to patients birth to 18 in Pediatric/PICU units.
Provide life-sustaining care for pediatric patients in PICU.
Evaluate and document patient responses and respond quickly to changes.
Administer medications appropriate to patient age and condition.
Coordinate treatment plans with leadership and physicians.
Educate parents on day-to-day care, goals, and home care procedures.
Perform general nursing duties in pediatric medical/surgical observation unit.
Identify psychosocial needs and coordinate with social services for discharge planning.
Maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
