Job summary

Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the M43/M53 Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). You will provide direct nursing care to critically ill children and coordinate with a dedicated team during 7:00am–7:30pm or 7:00pm–7:30am shifts.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active Ohio RN licensure, 1 year of acute care RN experience, and BLS; ACLS and PALS if applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state RN licensure
• One year of current Acute Care RN experience
• BLS certification by AHA or Red Cross
• ACLS certification if in a Critical Care area
• PALS certification at hire or within one year for pediatrics
• Military RN experience welcome

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
