Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Pediatric ICU/CCU RN for a travel assignment in Houston. The nurse will manage patients with multi-system failures and life-threatening illnesses, assuming accountability to the Clinical Manager or facility designee.

Required are a valid RN license and recent ICU/CCU experience; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred, with CEU compliance and ability to lead in crises within a team setting.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing in state of practice
• One year recent ICU/CCU/PICU/NICU or emergency medicine experience
• ACLS, PALS, NRP certification preferred
• CEU requirements for the state of practice
• Ability to lead in a crisis and demonstrate ICU competence
• Ability to work with patient growth and development needs in the unit
• Ability to work in a team environment and handle interruptions
• 1-3 years of complex job related experience
• PALS, BLS, ACLS as required
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Job description

The Pediatric ICU/CCU RN is a member of the Critical Care Department and manages patients with multi- system failure and a variety of life-threatening illnesses. The Pediatric ICU/CCU nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for assigned patients and is responsible to the Clinical Manager or client facility designee.

• Current RN license in good standing in state of practice
• One year recent experience in ICU, CCU, PICU, NICU or emergency medicine required
• Successful completion of Amergis Staffing Solutions testing process
• Prefers evidence of ACLS, PALS, NRP certification
• Shows evidence of CEU requirements for the state of practice
• Demonstrates the ability to assume a leadership role in a crisis situation
• Demonstrates clinical competence specific to intensive care
• Demonstrates the ability to work with patient growth and development needs across the specific unit of assignment
• Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrates a full range of body motion in a regular performance of duties on a daily basis
• Must be able to work with frequent interruptions
• 1-3 years complex job related experience
• PALS, BLS, and ACLS, as required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
