Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Pediatric ICU/CCU RN for travel assignments in Houston area. The role involves caring for patients with critical illnesses in a pediatric ICU/CCU setting and requires current RN license and ICU experience.

The position emphasizes crisis leadership, teamwork, and clinical excellence in intensive care. Travel flexibility and commitment to quality patient care are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing in state of practice.
• One year recent experience in ICU, CCU, PICU, NICU or emergency medicine required.
• ACLS certification preferred; PALS and NRP certification preferred.
• CEU requirements for the state of practice must be demonstrated.
• Ability to lead in crisis situations and to work in a team environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients with multi-system failure and life-threatening illnesses.
• Assume responsibility and accountability to the Clinical Manager or client facility designee.
• Demonstrates clinical competence specific to intensive care.
• Demonstrates the ability to work with patient growth and development needs across the unit.
• Demonstrates the ability to work in a team environment.
• Demonstrates a full range of body motion in daily duties and ability to handle interruptions.

Job description

The Pediatric ICU/CCU RN is a member of the Critical Care Department and manages patients with multi- system failure and a variety of life-threatening illnesses. The Pediatric ICU/CCU nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for assigned patients and is responsible to the Clinical Manager or client facility designee.

• Current RN license in good standing in state of practice
• One year recent experience in ICU, CCU, PICU, NICU or emergency medicine required
• Successful completion of Amergis Staffing Solutions testing process
• Prefers evidence of ACLS, PALS, NRP certification
• Shows evidence of CEU requirements for the state of practice
• Demonstrates the ability to assume a leadership role in a crisis situation
• Demonstrates clinical competence specific to intensive care
• Demonstrates the ability to work with patient growth and development needs across the specific unit of assignment
• Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrates a full range of body motion in a regular performance of duties on a daily basis
• Must be able to work with frequent interruptions
• 1-3 years complex job related experience
• PALS, BLS, and ACLS, as required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
