Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This full-time night-shift role(7P–7A) involves 36 hours per week in a 16-bed unit providing advanced critical care for critically ill children.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver round-the-clock care with intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and support staff, ensuring family-centered treatment.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of start date.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and develop care plans for pediatric patients in PICU.
• Prioritize patient and family needs while delivering evidence-based care.
• Coordinate with physicians, therapists, pharmacists and support staff to implement treatment plans.
• Educate patients, families and junior staff on care plans and safety.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor patient responses to therapies.
• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with nursing standards.
