Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health McLane Children’s Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This full-time day shift includes 36 hours weekly (three 12-hour shifts) in a high-acuity pediatric unit with advanced support and dedicated staff.

The role emphasizes comprehensive patient care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and education for families. Eligible candidates have an accredited nursing diploma, Texas RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas or eligible to practice in Texas.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of starting the role.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor responses.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for patient care.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and post-discharge needs.
• Document care activities in the EMR accurately and timely.
