Job summary

Banner Health in Glendale, Arizona is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) on a 17-bed unit to deliver expert nursing care to critically ill children. This is a full-time night shift role with opportunities to advance certification in pediatrics.

The position offers a self-scheduling tool, an 18% night shift differential, and a flat rate of $3/hour on weekends. Qualified candidates must have RN-PICU experience and an active Arizona nursing license.

Qualifications

• Must have RN-PICU experience.
• Arizona RN license in good standing.
• Experience in pediatric care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for pediatric patients.
• Coordinate care with healthcare team and families to ensure quality outcomes.
• Provide direct patient care and supervise/teach other staff as needed.
• Communicate patient status and changes to physicians and family.
• Document care delivery and patient responses in medical records.
