Job summary

UNC Health Care, based in Chapel Hill, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide high-quality care within the APP scope of practice under physician supervision. The role supports inpatient and outpatient pediatric services in collaboration with the supervising physician.

The position emphasizes education, leadership, and quality improvement, with on-site work and a 40-hour week. Experience requirements are flexible, and licensure in NC is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in North Carolina.
• Board certification and DEA as required by the Department.

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and perform physical exams; develop differential diagnoses.
• Create and manage treatment plans with appropriate pharmacologic therapy.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
