We pride ourselves on delivering the finest picture framing and art services to our clients, and we are looking to expand our team with a skilled and motivated Picture Framing Production Manager.

Job Description:

As the Picture Framing Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production team while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our framing process. You will play a crucial leadership role in ensuring weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly goals are met while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and quality. You will be expected to maintain the organization of materials, handle ordering, and serve as a mentor and leader to our four full-time framers.

This position requires hands-on experience in picture framing, including proficiency with the following equipment:

• Cassess UnderPinner
• Drymount Press

While hands-on framing is part of the job when needed, the core of your role will be leading and managing the production team to ensure that goals are met, and that the process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 4 full-time framers to meet weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly production goals.
• Order supplies and materials needed for production and ensure adequate inventory levels.
• Oversee day-to-day framing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to deadlines.
• Provide mentorship and training to the team, sharing your expertise in the framing process.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and positive working environment.
• Communicate effectively with the team and leadership to align on production goals and expectations.
• Hands-on framing when necessary to ensure quality and consistency.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in picture framing, including extensive knowledge of framing techniques and machinery.
• Proven leadership or management experience, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Proficiency with framing equipment such as the Wizard Mat Cutter, Pistorus Mitre Saw, Cassess UnderPinner, and dry mount press.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
