PeopleReady of Norfolk, VA is now hiring Pickers in Chesapeake, VA! As a Picker, you will pull and prepare orders for shipment.

The pay rate is $18 per hour, with 1st Shift (Day) and Weekend availability. You will use RF scanners, stock items, and ensure accuracy and safety throughout the warehouse.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience preferred but not required.
• Dependable daily attendance and ability to meet productivity goals.
• Must be able to complete respirator fit testing and baseline blood work screening.
• Wear PPE including a Tyvek suit.

Responsibilities

• Pull products using order sheet or RF Scanner.
• Package products and stage for shipment.
• Perform merchandise scan-ins and QA steps and track inventory.
• Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material.
• Ensure warehouse area is clean, organized and safe.
• Operate in an R&D production environment following safety procedures.
• Pick and sort stainless steel pieces from material on a moving conveyor with accuracy.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $18 - $18 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Picker:

• Pull products using order sheet or RF Scanner
• Package products and stage for shipment
• Perform merchandise scan-ins, and other required quality assurance steps that confirm the contents of each order while tracking inventory for the company
• Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material
• Ensure the warehouse area is cleaned, organized, and follow all safety procedures
• Operate within a Research & Development (R&D) production environment while following all safety and operational procedures
• Pick and sort stainless steel pieces from fine material on a moving conveyor system with accuracy and attention to detail

Available shifts:

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day) & Weekends

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Prior warehouse experienced preferred but not required
• Dependable daily attendance and ability to meet productivity goalsStrong organizational work and detail-oriented
