Job summary

The Salvation Army in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a part-time music program coordinator to teach theory, performance skills, and music values to children and adults in the corps and community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music preferred, or extensive teaching experience.
• At least 2 years of music experience with children or adults.

Responsibilities

• Lead music and other arts programs; plan weekly lessons and implement the curriculum.
• Plan and attend recitals; coordinate corps programs for year-end concert.
• Encourage participant goal setting, self-esteem through music skills.
• Help ensure performances heighten the Corps' community awareness.
• Encourage attendance at summer camps and coordinate participation in divisional and day camps.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
