Job summary

Invenergy in Illinois is seeking an experienced OT systems expert to own AVEVA PI System operations for large-scale power infrastructure projects. You will be the go-to SME for PI components, data integration, and system reliability.

Responsibilities include configuring data collection from SCADA, DCS, RTUs and PLCs into PI, maintaining PI Data Archive, AF, Collectives, and Vision, and developing automation with Python, PowerShell, and .NET while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Five+ years administering enterprise-scale AVEVA PI environments (Data Archive, Collectives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, PI Vision).
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with programming/scripting languages such as .NET, PowerShell, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for OT systems, with a primary focus on the AVEVA PI System and associated data integrations.
• Configure and maintain data collection into the AVEVA PI System from OT platforms, including SCADA systems, DCSs, RTUs, PLCs, and other data sources.
• Investigate, evaluate, and integrate complex or unfamiliar OT systems with the AVEVA PI System.
• Administer and support AVEVA PI System components including, but not limited to PI Data Archive, PI Collectives, PI Asset Framework (AF), Interfaces, Connectors, Adapters, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, and PI Vision.
• Lead efforts to improve PI System architecture, data integrations, and platform reliability.
