NC Community Colleges seeks a qualified Physics/Astronomy lecturer to sustain high-quality teaching across in-person, hybrid, and online formats. The role includes evening courses at multiple campuses or partner high schools and requires 18 graduate hours in the discipline along with a Masters.
Two years of teaching experience is preferred. The position encompasses advising, thorough record-keeping, and active participation in program assessment while maintaining lab spaces and equipment safety.
Sustain high quality teaching performance in Physics and Astronomy discipline including appropriate course loads. This load may include seated, hybrid, and online classes with day and evening course assignments which may include courses at any campus location or at any area high school. Physics instruction is required, preferred that the candidate is also qualified to teach astronomy and/or math (18 graduate hours in subject area needed).

Education: Must have Master’s Degree in Physics, Astronomy, or a master’s degree in a closely related field with 18 graduate hours in the discipline.
Experience: A minimum of two years of teaching experience, or relevant professional experience in a workplace setting or demonstrated instructional/teaching environment.
