Qualified candidates hold a Master’s degree or higher, Alabama teaching certification in Physics/General Science, and 5+ years of classroom experience with AMSTI/AMSTI-ASIM training

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in the specific subject area and grade level in an Alabama public school
• AMSTI/AMSTI-ASIM training current and aligned to subject area and grade span
• Knowledge of PC systems and variety of software
• Strong time and project management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities
• Ability to collaborate in teams and provide service-oriented support
• Physical ability to move up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and participate in professional learning for teachers and administrators
• Develop and maintain pre-approved professional learning resources and online offerings
• Provide ongoing professional learning to AMSTI/AMSTI-ASIM lead teachers and facilitators
• Assist higher education partners with pre-service and continuing education activities
• Support recruitment and development of AMSTI/AMSTI-ASIM teachers and facilitators
• Coordinate work with AMSTI site director and communicate with stakeholders
• Maintain proficiency in standards and AMSTI-AMSTI-ASIM lessons and practices
