Job summary

Humana, Inc. seeks a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our Variable Staffing Pool in Texas on an as-needed basis. This zero-hour, W-2 role supports outpatient care for adults and geriatric patients, focusing on continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention.

You will work across three outpatient locations, travel between sites as needed, and participate in TB screening. A valid MD/DO, state license, and board certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MD/DO program.
• Active medical license in the state of jurisdiction.
• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics.
• Preference for geriatric care or value-based care experience, or at least 2 years with high-acuity seniors.
• Passion for improving patient experiences and outcomes.
• Willingness to participate in TB screening program.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
• Availability of at least three days per week.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Primary Care Physician to join our team as a Variable Staffing Pool Physician on an as-needed basis. This is a zero-hour contracted role, ideal for providers looking for part-time work while contributing to high-quality outpatient care. The Physician will manage a variety of health-related concerns, focusing on continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention.

Important Responsibilities:

• You will provide outpatient primary care services to adult and geriatric populations.
• You will maintain accurate and up-to-date medical histories and records.
• You will manage moderately complex to complex medical conditions.
• You will refer patients to specialists.
• You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• You will contribute to departmental strategy and quality improvement programs.
• You will work onsite in our outpatient clinics.

Use your skills to make an impact

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program.
• Active medical license in the state of jurisdiction.
• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
• Preference for value-based care experience, or at least 2 years of caring for Geriatric patients with high acuities.
• Must be passionate about improving patient experiences and outcomes.
• You will require participation in Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
• Specialty in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Med-Peds, or Geriatrics.
• Experience working with senior populations, value-based, or primary care models.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and digital documentation.
• Availability of at least three days per week

• DeSoto, 951 W. Belt Line Road, Suite 100, DeSoto, TX 75115
• Grand Prairie, 725 W. Pioneer Pkwy, Grand Prairie, TX 75051. Clinic hours:
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Direct W-2 employment (not a 1099 position)
• Must be willing to travel between assigned clinic locations

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$310,000 - $368,500 per year
