Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join CenterWell Senior Primary Care as a Variable Staffing Pool Physician on an as-needed basis.

This is a zero-hour contracted role ideal for part-time work while delivering high-quality outpatient care. The physician will manage adult and geriatric care, maintain records, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across three clinic locations in Dallas, DeSoto, and Grand Prairie.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MD/DO program.
• Active medical license in the relevant state.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics.
• Experience with geriatric patients and value-based care preferred (2+ years).
• Must be passionate about improving patient experiences and outcomes.
• Participation in Humana/Senior Bridge TB screening program.

Become a part of our caring community We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Primary Care Physician to join our team as a Variable Staffing Pool Physician on an as‑needed basis. This is a zero‑hour contracted role, ideal for providers looking for part‑time work while contributing to high‑quality outpatient care. The Physician will manage a variety of health‑related concerns, focusing on continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention.

Important Responsibilities

• You will provide outpatient primary care services to adult and geriatric populations.
• You will maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical histories and records.
• You will manage moderately complex to complex medical conditions.
• You will refer patients to specialists.
• You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• You will contribute to departmental strategy and quality improvement programs.
• You will work onsite in our outpatient clinics.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program.
• Active medical license in the state of jurisdiction.
• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
• Preference for value‑based care experience, or at least 2 years of caring for Geriatric patients with high acuities.
• Must be passionate about improving patient experiences and outcomes.
• You will require participation in Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
• Specialty in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Med‑Peds, or Geriatrics.
• Experience working with senior populations, value‑based, or primary care models.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and digital documentation.

Availability

Availability of at least three days per week.

• Home Clinic: CenterWell Redbird, 3209 W. Camp Wisdom Road, Dallas, TX 75237
• DeSoto, 951 W. Belt Line Road, Suite 100, DeSoto, TX 75115
• Grand Prairie, 725 W. Pioneer Pkwy, Grand Prairie, TX 75051.

Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Employment Details

Direct W-2 employment (not a 1099 position). Must be willing to travel between assigned clinic locations.
