Physician Urology

Charles George VA Medical Center - Asheville, North Carolina.

-Current staffing: 1 Medical Director, 4 Staff MDs, 2 PAs, 2 Residents

As a Staff Urologist, you will work directly with the Chief of Urology Service to provide effective urological care throughout the medical center. Responsibilities include pre-operative patient assessment, performing adult urological surgeries in the clinic and OR, and providing urology-related care in OR, ICU, ward, and clinic, including on-call duties. You may also participate in program planning, resident teaching, and policy development to ensure quality care.

Highlights include:

• Resident teaching, research opportunities, and access to DaVinci Robot
• Potential starting salary: $350,000 - $400,000
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
• Night and weekend on-call duties are shared equitably, including one night per week, one weekend per month, and some holidays
• Must hold full, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. State

Additional requirements:

• Board certification or eligibility, with ability to perform robotic urologic procedures
• Academic affiliation with Duke University
• Encouraged participation in clinical research and academic activities
