Job summary

The Committee of Interns and Residents is seeking a New Organizer to lead and manage organizing campaigns, build relationships with physicians, and recruit and develop leaders.

You will conduct outreach, coordinate with CIR departments, and ensure compliance with labor laws as you move campaigns forward. Frequent travel and evening/weekend work are expected; residency within 50 miles of specified cities is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a union organizer required.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage organizing campaigns.
• Build relationships and recruit/develop leaders.
• Conduct outreach and move campaigns forward through meetings.
• Engage physicians to take action and participate.
• Coordinate with CIR departments (Communications, Political, Legal, Research, Contract).
• Understand resident work life, governance, and hospital operations.
• Perform basic campaign research and mapping.
