Job summary

The Committee of Interns and Residents (CIR) is seeking a Worksite Organizer to be based in the Philadelphia, PA area. The role focuses on building CIR presence in hospital worksite settings, developing member leaders, and advancing collective bargaining goals while strengthening relations with hospital and community stakeholders.

You’ll recruit and train delegates, support campaigns, manage work plans, and collaborate with a team to mobilize members, enforce contracts, and expand organizing

Qualifications

• Experience in union/organizing contexts is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse member leaders to identify issues and build power.
• Strong planning and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with a team of Worksite Organizers to implement national programs.
• Identify, recruit, train, and support delegates and worksite leaders.
• Meet membership and PAC goals at each chapter.
• Engage members in union activities and mobilize campaigns.
• Develop worksite structures for communication, mobilization, and leadership development.
• Support grievance procedures and contract enforcement.
