Qualifications

• Board-certified/eligible in EM/FM/IM (with pediatric experience) preferred
• Licensed in state of practice
• Experience with procedures such as suturing and abscess I&D
• Experience reading X-rays and EKGs
• Clinical experience in emergency/urgent/ambulatory care preferred
• ACLS and PALS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care in an acute urgent care setting
• Ensure comprehensive care for patients of all ages
• Perform procedures including EKG interpretation, X-ray interpretation, abscess I&D, splinting
• Serve as a role model and leader for the clinical team
• Communicate test results, follow-up care, and treatment plans
• Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers
• Work with a support team including scribes

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

• Provide a level of care that goes beyond the traditional urgent care setting
• Ensure comprehensive care for patients of all ages
• Procedures to include EKG and X-ray interpretation, abscess incision and drainage, infection management, reduction of dislocations, splinting of minor fractures, laceration repair, IV hydration, and medication administration
• Serve as a role model and leader for the clinical team
• Communicate test results, follow-up care, and treatment plans
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers
• Work with an energetic, highly-trained support team, including many shifts with a scribe

Minimum Qualifications:

• Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (with pediatric experience) preferred
• Licensed in state of practice
• Experience with procedures such as suturing and abscess I&D
• Experience with reading diagnostics studies, including X-rays and EKGs
• Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care highly preferred
• ACLS and PALS Certification preferred
