Total Access Urgent Care (TAUC) in the Greater St. Louis area is seeking Physician Assistants to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Qualifications

• Active PA license and certification to practice in the state.
• Minimum of 2+ years in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a level of care beyond the traditional urgent care setting.
• Ensure comprehensive care for patients of all ages.
• Perform procedures including EKG/X-ray interpretation, abscess I&D, wound care, splinting, laceration repair, IV hydration, and medication administration.
• Serve as a role model and leader for the clinical team.
• Communicate test results, follow-up care, and treatment plans to patients.
• Collaborate effectively with Physicians and the care team.
• Work with a skilled support team, including scribes on multiple shifts.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

• Provide a level of care that goes beyond the traditional urgent care setting
• Ensure comprehensive care for patients of all ages
• Procedures to include EKG and X-ray interpretation, abscess incision and drainage, infection management, reduction of dislocations, splinting of fractures, laceration repair, IV hydration, and medication administration
• Serve as a role model and leader for the clinical team
• Communicate test results, follow-up care, and treatment plans
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with Physicians
• Work with an energetic, highly-trained support team, including many shifts with a scribe

Minimum Qualifications

• Board Certified (or Board Eligible) Physician Assistant
• Experience with procedures such as suturing and abscess I&D
• Experience with reading diagnostics studies, including X-rays and EKGs
• 2+ years of clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care highly preferred
• ACLS and PALS Certification preferred
