Job summary

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care in Imperial, Missouri is seeking a dedicated Physician to join our team. We offer a generous sign-on bonus up to $25,000, flexible scheduling, and a modern clinical environment with imaging, labs, and Epic EMR.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
• Active state medical license.
• 2 years post-residency clinical experience in urgent care or emergency medicine.
• Experience treating patients across all age groups.
• Proficiency in minor procedures and reading EKGs/X-rays.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat patients with acute conditions.
• Take medical histories and order diagnostic tests.
• Make diagnoses and prescribe medications.
• Perform minor procedures and vaccinations.
• Document progress and coordinate follow-up care.
• Supervise PA/NPs with remote supervision support.
• Work 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced setting.

What We're Looking For:

• Board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds
• Active state medical license
• 2 years of post-residency clinical experience, ideally in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting
• Experience treating patients across all age groups
• Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers

Your Role:

• Examining and treating patients with acute conditions
• Taking medical histories and ordering diagnostic tests
• Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
• Performing minor procedures and administering vaccinations
• Documenting patient progress and coordinating follow-up care
• Supervising and collaborating with PA/NPs, including remote supervision and credentialing support
• Working 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting
