Job summary

City of Hope in Southern California seeks a Physician Liaison to cultivate and sustain relationships with referring physicians and office staff across Duarte campus and community locations. The role focuses on promoting hospital services, identifying opportunities to increase referrals, and ensuring physicians are satisfied with the care provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or healthcare.
• Experience in customer/physician relations or sales in healthcare/hospital setting is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office and reporting/contracting experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to track and run reports from databases or contact management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and create strategic opportunities to promote outreach, grow referrals and increase City of Hope recognition.
• Enhance relationships with community physicians through events, office contacts, written communications and other strategies.
• Answer physician questions about facility, availability, capabilities, terms, treatment solutions and clinical trials.
• Support attendance to continuing medical education (CME) events.
• Contacts, meets with, and orients new community practice providers.
• Analyze market to determine high-value doctors and geographic opportunities by zip and physician, plus ROI.
• Collaborate with Foundation, community practice sites, physicians in Duarte, and CME department.
