Job summary

Iowa Ortho, a privately held orthopedic practice in Des Moines, is seeking a Physician Liaison to develop and maintain referral relationships with clinics, employers, workers' compensation stakeholders, and community organizations. You will execute outreach, educate referral sources about services and scheduling, and represent the organization at events to support patient growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, healthcare administration, communication, or similar is preferred.
• 3+ years experience in healthcare sales, physician relations, pharmaceutical sales, medical device sales, workers' compensation sales, or business development.
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills; excellent presentation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine visits to referring physician offices, urgent care centers, primary care clinics, physical therapy practices, and specialty providers.
• Build relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, office managers, referral coordinators, and clinic leadership.
• Educate referral sources on physician specialties, access points, services, and scheduling processes.
• Resolve referral barriers and improve ease of access.
• Coordinate physician meetings and educational events.
• Track referral trends by clinic.
