Job summary

Overlake Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center (OAOC) in Bellevue, WA, seeks a Physician Engagement Liaison to streamline referrals, authorize complex therapies, and coordinate onboarding for rheumatology patients and specialized infusions. You will liaise between referring physicians and clinical staff to minimize scheduling delays and enhance patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s preferred.
• 3+ years healthcare coordination, intake, or referrals experience.
• Experience with outpatient infusion is strongly desired.
• Experience navigating insurance pre-authorizations and authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume incoming referrals from PCPs, hospital systems, and specialty clinics.
• Audit medical packets for required notes, labs, and imaging.
• Coordinate triage with OAOC physicians, NPs, and PAs per clinic protocols.
• Verify benefits and obtain prior authorizations for infusion therapies.
• Guide patients through intake, scheduling, and onboarding processes.
• Route physician notes and lab results back to referrers in a timely fashion.
• Support on-site clinical research by flagging eligible patients for trials.
