As a Physician Recruiter (onsite in Austin, TX), you will lead full cycle recruitment for physicians and advanced practice providers, partnering with leaders across facility, operations, and Physician Services to help build staffing that supports patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relationships with facility CEOs, Physician Services partners, and community practices.
- Develop and manage recruitment plans for each opportunity, ensuring processes for recruitment, screening, selection, and placement align with current leadership standards.
- Serve as a communication liaison among market leadership, Physician Services, candidates, and physicians throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Plan and direct recruitment activities including sourcing qualified applicants, screening applicants, scheduling and conducting interviews, and overseeing quality checks for candidate vetting.
- Conduct reference and background checks as part of the selection process.
- Interface with hospital CEO and Physician Services operations teams to determine physician staffing needs.
- Negotiate financial contracts and create physician spend proformas, and prepare proformas for placement while supporting contract preparation, negotiation, and execution.
- Coordinate physician facility and community site visits, including tours of communities and housing options, meetings with market administration and key medical staff, and tours of facility locations.
- Identify and evaluate healthcare recruitment trends, including location conditions, economic conditions, and competitive institutions, then build innovative strategic responses.
- Maintain accurate candidate and recruitment records using systems and databases, including internal and external reporting and correspondence.
- Represent the organization at association meetings and physician training programs.
- Determine internet online recruiting strategies to attract and recruit candidates.
- Utilize Salesforce/Optimum (including Optimum and Salesforce) to maintain job opportunities, candidate information, referrals, site visit activity, and provider signings with a commitment to data integrity.
- Maintain data on applicant flow, interviews, and recruitment results to support accurate reporting and recordkeeping.
- Engage with embedded Residents for purposes of data collection and retention.
- Prepare and analyze statistical reports to monitor candidate flow, selection, and turnover.
- Partner with corporate legal to support adherence to guidelines, rules, and regulations under direction of the VP.
- Participate in training new staff members.
- Build effective relationships with field operations and practice stakeholders (including physician lead and practice manager), and partner with service line leaders by preparing reports, sharing recent recruitment activity, and formulating market strategies.
- Manage the applicant queue for both internal referrals and external applications (including autofeed vendor applications).
- Conduct opportunity overviews to define and articulate qualified candidate selection criteria and understand practice subculture to outline job descriptions.
- Maintain frequent touchpoints with active candidates to support a best-in-class provider recruitment experience.
- Positively represent the HCA brand and position the organization as an employer or affiliated health system of choice.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent.
- 3+ years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
