Sovah Health—Danville is seeking a Pulmonologist/Critical Care physician to join its hospital-employed team in Danville, VA. You will work within a 7‑day ICU block, followed by a week off after calls, with added clinic time to balance patient care.

The role includes residency support in the ICU, EBUS and Navigational Bronchs capabilities, and a Sleep Study reading opportunity, all within a teaching-friendly environment.

Responsibilities

• 7 days ICU block with 1 week OFF after call, followed by 2 weeks of clinic work.
• Closed ICU with residency support in the ICU.
• Licensed for 19 beds; average daily census 10–14 patients.
• Utilizes Athena EMR for documentation and orders.
• Opportunity to participate in Sleep study readings.

Position Detail

• Hospital employed, established group
• Schedule: 7 days ICU block, 1 week OFF post call, 2 weeks clinic
• Closed ICU; Residency support in the ICU
• Licensed for 19 beds; avg. daily census 10-14 patients
• Athena EMR
• Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency programs onsite if interested in teaching
• Equipped with EBUS and Navigational Bronchs
• PFT lab in clinic
• Lung Nodule Clinic
• Tumor Board
