Lifepoint Health’s Sovah Health-Danville in Danville, VA seeks a Pulmonologist/Critical Care physician to join a hospital-employed team. The role includes ICU management, residency teaching, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary staff.

The facility features EBUS, navigational bronchs, a PFT lab, and a Lung Nodule Clinic with Tumor Board participation. Staffing supports a productive work-life balance in a community-focused setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage a 7 days ICU block with 1 week off post-call and 2 weeks of clinic.
• Provide care in a closed ICU with residency support.
• Licensed for 19 beds with average daily census 10–14 patients.
• Work with Athena EMR for patient documentation and orders.
• Onsite teaching of Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residency programs.

Position Detail

• Hospital employed, established group
• Schedule: 7 days ICU block, 1 week OFF post call, 2 weeks clinic
• Closed ICU; Residency support in the ICU
• Licensed for 19 beds; avg. daily census 10-14 patients
• Athena EMR
• Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency programs onsite if interested in teaching
• Equipped with EBUS and Navigational Bronchs
