HSHS Medical Group in Shelbyville, IL is seeking a BC/BE Primary Care Physician (IM or FM trained) for a 100% outpatient practice. The schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional nursing home rounds, supported by EPIC EMR with DAX Copilot and a dedicated team.

Applicants must hold an unrestricted Illinois license, be board certified or eligible (ABFM/ABIM), and complete an accredited residency. J‑1/H‑1B sponsorship is available. Competitive compensation with strong benefits is offered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 100% outpatient primary care in a well-established practice.
  • Collaborate with dedicated support staff; use EPIC EMR with DAX Copilot for documentation.
  • Complete nursing home rounds in the community as needed.
  • Support ongoing patient referrals and care coordination.

Position Details
  • Well established, growing practice.
  • Monday-Friday weekly schedule with an option of a 4 or 5 day work week some clinic time will be spent completing nursing home rounds in the community in addition to clinic visits

Qualifications
  • Clinical doctorate is required.
  • Experience Qualifications: Competence in delivery of healthcare services for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients is required.
  • Certified Licenses and Registrations: Licensed physician in the state of practice is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Maintain a Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA, when applicable to their specialty.
  • Must have successfully completed, or in the process of completing, an accredited residency program.
  • Must be board certified or board eligible.
