Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks a Physician for Primary Care in California. The role covers a full spectrum of patient care with a focus on preventive medicine and education across diverse age groups.

The position requires an MD or DO, active licensure, board eligibility, and at least 3 years in Family Practice within the last five years. Excellent teamwork and adherence to clinical guidelines are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of physician services within granted privileges.
• Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe within scope of training and privileges.
• Order diagnostic tests and coordinate referrals with appropriate specialists.
• Direct or assist in education and training of other health care professionals.
• Provide primary care across neonatal to geriatric populations; include exams and preventive care.
• Respond to medical emergencies within the clinic and arrange emergent transfers as needed.

Physician - Primary Care

Shift: 07:30am - 06:00pm

Description:Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted.Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of the responsibilities.Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling.Order diagnostic tests as applicable, as well as request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians or other health resources as indicated.Technically proficient in directing and teaching other medical staff, providing educational lectures, and participating in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members.Such direction and interaction will adhere to professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols.Provide primary care in designated medical settings, including performing primary care exams for the neonatal to geriatric populations.Perform primary care and administrative exams, including but not limited to Physical Readiness Test waivers, Preventive Health Assessments, operational screening exams, school and sports physicals, and well-woman exams.Initiate recommendations for Sick-in-Quarters and duty modifications for active-duty personnel in accordance with relevant instructions.Diagnose and treat urgent and non-urgent disease and injury to all body organs and systems of patients in the neonatal to geriatric populations.Prescribe medications as indicated.Ensure accurate and timely completion of referrals, conducting all referrals in accordance with relevant policies and protocols.Document all referrals in the patient’s medical record and in automated data systems following relevant policies and procedures.Respond to medical emergencies within the clinic until the designated medical officer arrives.Recognize patients that require care beyond the capability of the clinic and arrange and coordinate emergent transportation to other medical facilities.

Requirements

Education:M.D. or DO

General Knowledge:Must be able to pass a Government background check and obtain a Government security clearance.Minimum 3 years experience in a Family Practice setting, within the past 5 years to include children.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS).Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Licensure:Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state.Board eligibility is required. Board certification if preferred.Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Family Practice, the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
