Description:We are seeking a physician for primary care who will provide pediatric support.

The role involves assessing newborns in the hospital immediately after birth.

No obstetric focused medical or surgical care will be performed before, during, or after pregnancy.

Care and assessment will only be provided to newborns in the hospital and/or clinic setting.

The physician is expected to work solo.

The daily shift is eight hours with a call requirement, likely one week per month, including weekends.

There will be no pediatric admissions for patients under 8 years old, as they will be transferred to specialized facilities.

The call schedule will include shared pediatric and post-delivery call.

A BLS and NRP certification, as well as experience with Epic charting system, is required.

All L&D nurses and respiratory therapists participate in newborn resuscitation support.

Telehealth support is readily available for all deliveries with a neonatologist.

There will be a need to document family medicine services representative of the privileges requested during the previous 24 months.

Pediatric patients under 8 years will be transferred to specialized facilities.

Candidates must hold an active license and be available to provide clinical activity as specified.
