As a trainee, you will gain practical knowledge in scheduling, registration, billing basics, and workflow optimization, with potential advancement to operations leadership and directorship roles within Mercy Medical Center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3 years of related Physician Practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the practice administrator to learn day-to-day operations of the physician practice.
• Fill in roles coordinating patient scheduling, registration, and check-in processes.
• Assist in surgical scheduling and optimize workflow efficiency and patient throughput.
• Understand financial reporting, budgeting, insurance billing, and reimbursement processes.
• Develop basic understanding of coding and billing practices.
• Assist in recruiting and onboarding key practice positions and staff training.
