Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Physician - Orthopedic Surgery for a locum tenens assignment in Clinton, North Carolina. The physician will cover general orthopedic cases with a 24-hour on-call requirement, handling 0–3 consults daily and ED involvement for reductions and admissions, with potential 0–2 surgeries daily (wrist, ankle, hip fractures).

Candidates must hold an active state license with DEA, board certification, and medical staff credentials (NPI, PECOS enrollment).

Qualifications

• ABLS/ACLS/ATLS/BLS/PALS certifications required.
• Active state medical license and DEA registration.
• Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Manage 0–3 consults per day and ED involvement for reductions and admissions.
• Perform 0–2 surgeries daily, including fractures of wrist, ankle, and hip.
• Stabilize long bone trauma and arrange transfers; provide on-call coverage.

Description:This position involves general orthopedic surgery with a 24-hour call requirement.The provider will be responsible for managing 0-3 consults per day.The provider may also need to visit the emergency department for closed reductions and admissions.There may be 0-2 surgeries per day, which will include wrist, ankle, and hip fractures, as well as incision and drainage.Long bone trauma will be stabilized and transferred.Gratis hours are capped at 4.Surgeons will be provided with individual apartments onsite.Accommodations include cable and Wi-Fi.Travel expenses will be capped.Providers must remain within a specified distance from the facility while on call.The facility does not accommodate providers who offer less than 4 gratis hours.The following certifications are required:
