THIS IS A WORK FROM HOME ROLE:

SCHEDULE MONDAY - FRIDAY, WITH 8-HOUR SHIFTS BETWEEN 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM CST (shifts may change after training)

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Physician Services Scheduler answers calls, schedules patient appointments, verifies insurance, routes calls, and communicates with departments or physician offices.

In this role, you will:

• Answer incoming calls professionally and promptly
• Schedule, cancel, or change patient appointments
• Verify insurance and patient demographics
• Inform patients of out-of-network plans and provide Good Faith Estimates upon request
• Communicate testing requirements and update scheduling modules accordingly
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of information in the scheduling system
• Coordinate with physician office staff for pre-certifications and authorizations
• Consistently select the correct patient medical record number
• Use appropriate communication methods with physician offices

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• One year of related experience preferred
• Experience with EClinical Works preferred; Meditech or Cerner is a plus
• Experience in physician scheduling preferred
• Remote employees must reside within 60 miles of an HCA Hospital
