Description:Clinic hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.Each provider has specific OB days.Clinic schedules range from 15 to 25 patients per day.Ultrasound is available in the clinic.Annual deliveries performed are on track for 540.The average daily patient volume for deliveries/OB is 2 OB per day.This facility has 116 beds and a Level 2 nursery.Infants weighing less than 1,500 grams are transferred to a higher level of care.There is no designated pediatric level of care.Call shifts are 24 hours.GYN coverage assignments include emergency GYN surgeries and consults from the emergency department.Physicians will be doing both hospital and clinic duties simultaneously.Coverage is needed starting in October and continuing throughout the year.Local applicants are preferred.

Specialty Skills: Obstetrics and GynecologyExperience with low-risk and high-risk pregnancies is preferred.Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) is preferred.Performance and interpretation of OB ultrasounds are preferred.Level I/screening (viability) and Level II/targeted (anatomic) ultrasound experience is preferred.Amniocentesis experience is preferred.Experience with routine delivery and vaginal delivery is preferred.Experience with low forceps and decision-making for cesarean sections is preferred.Experience with complicated deliveries and cesarean sections is preferred.Experience with breech and multiple births is preferred.Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations is preferred.Experience with office/minor gynecology procedures such as IUD insertion, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP is preferred.Experience with surgical gynecology, including open surgeries, is preferred.Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures such as tubal ligation and chronal tubation are preferred.Operative/major gynecology procedures such as ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, and cystectomy are preferred.Laser certification is preferred.
