Position Overview

WVU School of Medicine and the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute’s Department of Neurosurgery seek a Neurosurgeon (Assistant, Associate, or Professor). The role is based in Bridgeport, WV.

Responsibilities

• Provide neurosurgical care, including cranial, spine, and peripheral nerve procedures.
• Manage non-operative clinical care for patients with neurological conditions.
• Perform routine cervical and lumbar discectomy and fusion surgeries, address uncomplicated brain tumors, and handle cranial emergencies.
• Contribute to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree, or foreign equivalent, with eligibility for medical licensure in WV.
• Completed neurosurgery residency and board certified or eligible.

All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
