Job summary

WVU Medicine is seeking an interventional cardiologist to practice both general and interventional cardiology at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. The successful candidate will engage in teaching medical students and residents while also participating in clinical research. Additional travel to various locations in West Virginia and neighboring states will be required. This role demands an MD or DO degree, completion of an interventional fellowship, and board certification in interventional cardiology.

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute seek an interventional cardiologist to practice general and interventional cardiology based at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will be actively involved in teaching medical students, internal medicine residents and cardiology fellows. Opportunities also exist in clinical research.

Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. Travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligible for a state medical license.
• Completed a general cardiology fellowship program and an interventional fellowship program.
• Board certified or eligible in interventional cardiology.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
