Job summary

The West Virginia University Health System and University Health Associates invite applications for a Non-invasive Cardiologist to practice in Wheeling, West Virginia, with ranks available from Assistant Professor to Professor and an accompanying academic appointment.

The role includes practice in general and interventional cardiology, and active teaching of medical students, residents and fellows. Travel to additional WV sites may be required based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility for a state license.
• Completed a cardiology fellowship program.
• Board certified or eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
• Willingness to travel to additional sites within WV/MD/PA as operational needs require.

The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute seek a Non-invasive Cardiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidates will be expected to practice in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

Duties

The successful candidate will practice in the areas of general and interventional cardiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for a state license. Successful candidate must have completed a cardiology fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in Interventional Cardiology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
