Job summary

Essentia Health in Fargo, ND is seeking BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians to join our Hospitalist Services team. The role focuses on ED admissions, inpatient consults and transfers; no procedures required; 12-hour shifts; 24 weeks per year.

You will work with a strong team of 20 hospitalists and NP support, with 24/7 intensivist backup. Location central near border ND/MN; FTE 1; possible remote/hybrid option.

• Team Composition: Strong, collegial team atmosphere with 20 full-time hospitalists and NP support.

• Hospital Information: 140 Beds; Closed ICU; 2 Admitting Services scheduled per day, 7 days per week

• Responsibilities: Emergency Department admissions, consults and direct admissions. Additional responsibilities include working with our One Call/Hospital Supervisor team taking transfers from outlying facilities. No procedures required.

• Work Schedule: 12 hour shifts – 24 weeks per year, flexible scheduling

• Support: Specialty and 24/7 intensivist support

Requirements

• BC/BE Internal Medicine

• BC/BE Family Medicine with a minimum of 1 year Hospitalist experience or completion of a Hospitalist fellowship.

Compensation

• $178.97/Hr. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
