Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is actively recruiting a full-timeNeurologist to join its Neurology practice in their Boulder Countyclinic. We are seeking a highly skilled Neurologist with strongmedical knowledge and excellent organizational and time managementskills to join our team. The successful candidate will diagnose andtreat patients with neurological disorders, providing compassionatecare and expertise. In addition to clinical responsibilities, theNeurologist will demonstrate proficiency in organizing and managingpatient caseloads, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, andcontributing to the advancement of neurological care through educationand research.

Experience and Skills

• Diagnose and treat patients with neurological disorders, includingbut not limited to headaches, seizures, dementia, dizziness, stroke,epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and Alzheimer's disease.
• Perform comprehensive neurological evaluations, includinghistory-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
• Diagnosing complex medical problems by reviewing patient’shistory, examining them, and conducting neurological tests.
• Counseling patients on neurological disorders and their background.
• Ordering neurological tests and interpreting the results ofneuroimaging studies.
• Prescribing and/or administering treatment and medication.
• Monitoring the behavioral and cognitive side effects of treatmentand medication.
• Ordering supportive care services for patients.
• Keeping up to date with neurological developments, treatments, and medication.
• Performing and interpreting electroencephalography,electromyography, and nerve conduction velocity tests.

Education:

• Medical Degree (MD, DO) from an accredited medical school
• Board Certification in Neurology
• Board certified
• Active state medical license and DEA registration
• EMG fellowship or work experience, or willingness to learn.
• Specialty training in an accredited neurology residency program.
• Fellowship training or advanced experience in a subspecialty ofneurology preferred.
• Strong medical knowledge and clinical skills in the diagnosis andmanagement of neurological disorders.
