Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is actively recruiting a full-time neurologist to join its neurology practice in their Boulder County clinic. We are seeking a highly skilled neurologist with strong medical knowledge and excellent organizational and time-management skills to join our team. The successful candidate will diagnose and treat patients with neurological disorders, providing compassionate care and expertise. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Neurologist will demonstrate proficiency in organizing and managing patient caseloads, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to the advancement of neurological care through education and research.

BMC has been providing high-quality medical care to Boulder County and its surrounding area since 1949. A physician owned and governed a multi-specialty practice of 90 providers, including MDs, DOs, Certified Mid-Wives, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and 320 support staff. It serves patients in five locations, conveniently located in Boulder, Erie, Longmont, and Louisville, CO and is led by a full-time professional management team that allows you to focus on patient care.

Practice Description Details

• Diagnose and treat patients with neurological disorders, including but not limited to headaches, seizures, dementia, dizziness, stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and Alzheimer's disease.
• Perform comprehensive neurological evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
• Diagnosing complex medical problems by reviewing patients' history, examining them, and conducting neurological tests.
• Counseling patients on neurological disorders and their background.
• Ordering neurological tests and interpreting the results of neuroimaging studies.
• Prescribing and/or administering treatment and medication.
• Monitoring the behavioral and cognitive side effects of treatment and medication.
• Ordering supportive care services for patients.
• Keeping up to date with neurological developments, treatments, and medication.
• Performing and interpreting electroencephalography, electromyography, and nerve conduction velocity tests.
  
  

Education:

• Medical Degree (MD, DO) from an accredited medical school
• Board Certification in Neurology
• Board-certified
• Active state medical license and DEA registration
• EMG fellowship or work experience, or willingness to learn.
• Specialty training in an accredited neurology residency program.
• Fellowship training or advanced experience in a subspecialty of neurology is preferred.
• Strong medical knowledge and clinical skills in the diagnosis and management of neurological disorders.
