ChristianaCare Physician Executive - Chair of OB/GYN & OB/GYN Service Line Leader

ChristianaCare, the largest healthcare system in Delaware, is seeking a Physician Executive to serve as the Chair of OB/GYN & OB/GYN Service Line Leader.

The Physician Executive will have broad authority and accountability for quality, value-based outcomes, workforce stability, financial vitality, and strategic direction of clinical services delivered by the OB/GYN Service Line across the system, supporting system strategy, operational performance, and organizational & SL goals.

Position Qualification Requirements
  • Medical Doctorate Degree: M.D. or D.O.
  • Board certification in applicable specialty or subspecialty.
  • Minimum of five years of clinical practice experience.
  • At least seven years of progressively responsible clinical leadership experience, including leading physicians.
  • Experience in clinical research, including trials, projects, and publications.
  • Experience in developing advanced medical education programs.
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Delaware.
  • MBA or master's in healthcare administration preferred.

  • Accountability for quality, safety, and value-based outcomes in both acute and ambulatory settings.
  • Engaging with nursing, operational, and shared service leadership to meet goals.
  • Building relationships with independent clinicians in the community.
  • Collaborating with other Chief Physicians to optimize resources and objectives.
  • Supervising all members of the OB/GYN Service Line.
