Job summary

The Emergency Medicine Physician provides urgent and emergency care within the scope of their license, performing rapid examinations, diagnostic testing, and acute treatment planning in the emergency department.

This 260-hour-per-month contract full-time role at Amergis Healthcare Staffing requires MD/DO, state licensure, and board certification preferred; compensation is $280 per hour and duties include patient and family instruction and coordination with clinicians.

Qualifications

Job description

The Emergency Medicine Physician provides urgent andemergency care services to patients within the scope of their license. Thisrole involves performing rapid medical examinations, diagnostic testing,assessments and screenings, managing acute treatment plans, and coordinatingcare with other healthcare professionals. The Emergency Medicine Physician alsoinstructs patients and family members on emergency conditions and treatmentoptions during their stay in the emergency department, as well as other dutiesas assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduation for an accredited medical school as a MedicalDoctorate (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).

• Licensed as an Emergency Medicine Physician by the state inwhich the provider is practicing.

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine by a nationallyaccredited medical organization (e.g., American Board of Emergency Medicine -ABEM) is preferred unless required by contract.

• Specialty Certification as per client request and/or stateregulations if applicable.

• One year of experience as an Emergency Medicine Physicianpreferred.

• Three years of experience in the emergency medicine fieldpreferred.

• Role may require collaboration with advanced practitionersper state/facility requirements.

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice under licensure and scope.
