Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Physician Contracting professional to manage the origination, coordination, and administration of physician contracts within a centralized contracting framework.

You will support compliance, records management, and data maintenance while collaborating with legal, HR, Billing, and Medical Staff Office. Work hours are typically 8 AM–5 PM with no weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience working with physicians and/or in physician contracts.
• Two (2) years of experience working in healthcare, preferably for a hospital or health system.

Responsibilities

• Constructs agreements for physician employment, physician services and independent contractors.
• Ensures the language reflects the relationship and complies with institutional policies, Medicare fraud/abuse statutes, Stark regulations, IRS and INS requirements.
• Contributes to achievement of department goals and adheres to policies and safety standards.
• Assists with development of training programs for contracting processes, roles and responsibilities.
• Assists with development and implementation of physician contracting standards and policy and procedures.
• Maintains essential data related to physician contract origination and administration and provides reports to senior management as requested.
• Ensures contracts are supported by essential documentation such as approvals, fair market value analysis, and business necessity statements.
• Maintains confidentiality of all contract and compensation information.
• Monitors contract tracking system and follows up on pending or outstanding agreements, including renewals/amendments.
• Serves as a contact for support departments involved in physician contracting (HR, Billing, Risk Management, Finance, etc.).
• Assists with maintenance of physician compensation survey data and internal calculations of value.
