Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a dedicated physician for a full-time role at our Towson, MD campus. The physician will manage initial evaluations, document in the EMR, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.

We offer comprehensive support, ongoing CME opportunities, and a collaborative work environment focused on patient-centered care. The position requires MD/DO licensure in Maryland, board certification in the relevant specialty, and ongoing CME credits to maintain licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical program.
• Licensed as a physician in the State of Maryland.
• Board Certified by the appropriate board for the specialty.
• Complete required CME credits for continuous licensure.
• CPR status to be determined as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for initial evaluation and treatment of patients in assigned areas.
• Performs initial history and physical and documents in the EMR.
• Writes standard orders in line with hospital policy.
• Discusses findings with provider colleagues and staff as needed.
• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts treatment as necessary.
• Initiates referrals to ancillary departments and community resources as appropriate.
• Writes progress notes documenting patient status and treatment plan.
• Establishes medical diagnoses in compliance with contract and policies.
• Responds to acute or life-threatening conditions by timely referral.
