Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Physician Coding Education Specialist to analyze physician coding trends and deliver education to improve coding accuracy and productivity. The role requires expert knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS and payer guidelines, with a focus on reducing denials and increasing compliant revenue.

The incumbent will audit, educate, and collaborate with the Central Business Office to ensure proper documentation and coding across services, while upholding confidentiality

Qualifications

• Proficient in CPT-4, ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS coding.
• Knowledge of government payer guidelines and CMS rules.
• Strong documentation and coding accuracy.
• Ability to train and educate physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits of professional coding across services.
• Identify coding errors and educate practices/providers accordingly.
• Ensure documentation supports payer guidelines and accurate coding.
• Develop and present educational programs to physicians and staff.
