Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking a Physician Coding Education Specialist in a hybrid role based in St. Pete, FL.

The person will audit coding for all service lines and provide targeted education to physicians and staff to improve documentation and revenue integrity. The ideal candidate has 5–6 years of professional coding experience, CPT-4/ICD-10-CM/PCS and HCPCS knowledge, and holds CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CMC/CPMA/CEMA certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Five years of additional related experience may substitute for the degree.
• Knowledge of AMA, AHA, CMS coding guidelines with 90%+ accuracy.
• Must maintain one of CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CMC/CPMA/CEMA certifications.
• Excellent knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-10-CM/PCS and HCPCS coding principles.

Responsibilities

• Audit and analyze professional coding for all service lines.
• Provide education to practices/providers on coding accuracy.
• Develop and present educational programs to physicians and staff.
• Ensure documentation aligns with payer guidelines and coding accuracy.
